Mahaley Archives

project overview

Mahaley Archives is a boutique brokerage and curation practice serving collectors of rare books and fine wine. I partnered with founder Brannon Mahaley to develop a complete brand identity grounded in the practice's core values of integrity and earned expertise. The project included logo direction and refinement, a color palette built for real-world contrast and legibility, a three-font typographic system, and a full voice and messaging framework, including mission, purpose, and vision statements reflecting the brand's scholarly, unhurried tone. I also designed the practice's business card system and compiled the identity into a cohesive brand guide, ensuring the mark and its supporting elements held up across everything from a favicon to a printed seal. The result is an identity that reads as considered and lasting rather than ornamental, restraint used deliberately in service of a brand built on precision over flash.
